Cynthia Ebini, M.D., M.H.A., received her medical degree from Ross
University School of Medicine and her Masters of Health Administration
from Washington University in St. Louis. She chose the IU Family Practice
Residency because it is a university-based hospital, the availability of
specialists, and the low-cost of living in Indianapolis. Dr. Ebini has
interests in sleep medicine, laboratory medicine, and women's health. For the future, she plans to
enter a fellowship training program in either obstetrics, sports medicine,
or urgent care. Dr. Ebini is a member of the American Medical Student
Association. Dr. Ebini is engaged and when not working, Dr. Ebini enjoys
watching the new, sports, and traveling. |

Saura Fortin, M.D., received her
medical degree from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras. Dr. Fortin chose the IU
Family Medicine Residency due to its well-structured educational curriculum, the
diversity among its residents, and that it is a university-based program with
hands on experience in town with so many attractions and excellent atmosphere.
She also cites the friendliness of the staff and residents as well as the wide
variety of patient population and pathologies. Dr. Fortin’s clinical interests
include obstetrics and women's health, while her research interests are
diabetes and hypertension in the Latino/Hispanic population. When she is not working,
she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping, and traveling. Dr.
Fortin is married
and has two children. |

Muneeza Khan, M.B.B.S, received her medical degree from the Karachi Medical and Dental College in Pakistan. She chose the IU Family Medicine Residency because of the outstanding, award-winning program; dynamic faculty; great hospitality; and busy clinical emphasis on resident education and procedural opportunities. She also likes the diverse yet friendly and supporting residents. Dr. Khan’s clinical interests are in women's and children's health issues while her research interests are in patient care in the communities and public health. She is married and has a daughter. Her future plan is to pursue a fellowship in geriatrics before going into clinical practice. In her free time, Dr. Khan enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, reading, and enjoying the "outdoors." |

Ban Kinaia, M.B., Ch.B., received her medical degree Al-Mustansiriyah University, Baghdad, Iraq. Dr. Kinaia chose the IU Family Medicine Residency because of the education and clinical opportunities the program offers. Additionally, she liked the warm and friendly environment and the cultural diversity among the residents. Dr. Kinaia’s clinical interest is in women's health, while her research interest is adolescent health. Her future goal is to work in a private practice. Dr. Kinaia is married and has a son and daughter. Her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. |

Toyosi Morgan, M.D., M.P.H., M.B.A., received her medical degree from University of Lagos, Nigeria, and both her Masters of Public Health and her Masters of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University. She chose the IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency because the environment exudes professionalism and there are extensive learning opportunities and research activities. She appreciates that the faculty are very interested and involved in the professional development of the residents. Additionally, Dr. Morgan likes Indianapolis because it has a friendly and welcoming population with a great appreciation for diversity. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, World Organization of Family Doctors, and the American Public Health Association. Dr. Morgan's area of clinical interest is preventive and primary health care and her research interests are in epidemiology, public health, HIV and health services research. Upon graduation, Dr. Morgan would like to pursue public health research and practice as well as managing health care organizations. Dr. Morgan enjoys spending time with her family, exploring cultural themes, and giving back to the community. |

Elizabeth Muhiire-Igbanol, M.D., received her medical degree from Charles University, First Medical Faculty in Prague. Dr. Muhiire-Igbanol chose the IU Family Practice Residency because of the numerous resources available to residents during their education. Additionally, she found the diversity of the residents quite refreshing. Dr. Muhiire-Igbanol clinical interest is in patient education for chronic illness and her research interest is in diabetes. While completing her residency, she plans to pursue her Maters of Business Administration from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Upon graduation, she would like to complete a faculty fellowship as she intends to go back to Uganda to teach. Dr. Muhiire-Igbanol is married and both she and her husband are avid Colts fans! When she is not working, Dr. Muhiire-Igbanol enjoys cooking, classical literature, and the theater. |

Alisia Muñoz, M.D., received her medical degree from Ross University
School of Medicine. She chose the IU Family Practice
Residency because of its excellent reputation and diverse patient
population. Additionally, Dr. Muñoz loves Indiana (born and raised in
Lafayette, Indiana, she received her Bachelors of Science from Purdue
University) and wanted to stay within the state. Dr. Muñoz' clinical interests include dermatology and
mission medicine and she is interested in paralysis research. Her long term goals are to
set up a community clinic in an underserved area of Indiana and create
additional free clinics within indigenous areas of Latin America. Dr.
Muñoz is married and has a son. In her spare time, she enjoys theology,
spending time with her family, and tennis. |

Angela Myers, M.D., received her medical degree from Colegio Mayor de
Nuestra Señora Del Rosario, Bogotá, Colombia. Dr. Myers chose the IU
Family Medicine Residency because of its supportive and knowledgeable
faculty and because the residents are very approachable and
friendly...it's a friendly yet competitive work environment. Dr. Myers
has a strong background in medical genetics and she also has clinical
interests in palliative care and behavioral sciences. Upon graduation,
Dr. Myers would like to continue her education with additional training
in palliative care. Among the many pastimes that Dr. Myers enjoys,
spending time with her family, reading, yoga, and knitting are at the
top of her list. |

Luis Felipe Romero, M.D., received his medical degree from Universidad
del Valle, Cali, Colombia. He chose IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency because
of the strong and well structured curriculum of the program along with
the high national standards of the Indiana University School of
Medicine. He also likes the size of Methodist Hospital where the
training will take place. Dr. Romero strongest clinical interests are in
preventive medicine, community medicine, and emergencies. He is
interested in participating in research high social impact pathologies,
such as hypertension, diabetes, and STDs. Dr. Romero plans on remaining
in Indiana and working with the underserved and Hispanic populations in
Indianapolis. In his free time, he enjoys computers, traveling, and
spending time with his friends. |

Arturo Salazar, M.D.. received his medical degree from Universidad de
Monterrey, México. Dr. Salazar felt the IU Family
Practice Residency was the best residency for him because of the
international medicine opportunities. Additionally, he likes that is is
a very competitive program with high quality education. Clinically, Dr.
Salazar is interested in chronic degenerative disease and from a
research perspective, he is interested in the social aspect of medicine
in the community. Away from medicine, Dr. Salazar enjoys
books, movies, and soccer. |

Harmeet Sarao, M.B.B.S., received her medical degree from Govt. Medical
College in Patiala, India. She received her Masters of Public Health from
the University of Texas, Houston. Dr. Sarao joined the IU Family Practice
Residency because it is a university-based program with a great
reputation. She also liked the diverse mix of residents. Dr. Sarao is
interested in women's health issues and upon graduation, she is
interested in possibly completing a fellowship in women's health or
sports medicine before entering private practice. Dr. Sarao is married
and in her free time enjoys camping, reading and watching movies. |

Diego Francisco Diaz, M.D., received his medical degree from Universidad
Central Del Ecuador. Dr. Diaz chose the IU Methodist Family Medicine
Residency because of its reputation as being one of the best in the
country and its affinity with international medical graduates. He also
likes Indianapolis because it is a great place to have a family and
raise children. Dr. Diaz clinical interests are in sports medicine and
pediatrics and has research
interests in the mechanics of the human body. For the future, he plans to
enter a fellowship training program in sports medicine. In his free time, Dr.
Diaz enjoys spending time with his family, participating in sports,
especially martial arts, and watching TV. |

Alex Garrido, M.D., received his medical
degree from Universidad Del Norte - Barranquilla Colombia. Dr. Garrido chose the IU
Methodist
Family Medicine Residency because of its contribution to the community, its
diversity, and its research/clinical combination.
He also likes the programs strong academic basis, structure and commitment to
excellence. Prior to joining the residency, Dr. Garrido worked as a research
assistant at the Moffitt Cancer Center at the University of South Florida. Dr.
Garrido’s clinical interests
include obstetrics and sports medicine, while his research interests are
in the Latino/Hispanic population. Upon graduation, Dr. Garrido would like to
become a faculty member at Indiana University. In his free time, he enjoys
cooking, traveling, reading, and enjoying the company of friends and family. |

Mohsina Kashif, M.B.B.S., received her medical degree from the Dow Medical College in Pakistan. She chose the IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency because of the award-winning program and well-structured education curriculum. Dr. Kashif also likes the diverse patient population exposure. Dr. Kashif’s clinical interests are in women's and the elderly's health issues while her research interests are in diabetes and hypertension, particularly in women and the elderly. Her future plans include pursuing a fellowship in geriatrics upon gradation. Dr. Kashif is married and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, cooking, shopping, and traveling. |

Shoshana Levy, M.D., received her medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. Dr. Levy chose the IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency because it is the only program in Indianapolis that has it's own inpatient service as well as the supportive staff. Her clinical interest is in women's health and she is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Levy's future goal is to focus on women's health and possibly obstetrics. Dr. Levy is married and has two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and going to the theater. |

Dinorah Milner, M.D., received her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Milner chose the IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency because of the active participation in serving the underserved, the plethora of opportunities with the clinical/research realm, and the faculty's dedication towards excellence. Her clinical and research interests are in the underserved population, preventive medicine, and public health. Her future goal is to continue to work with the underserved population. Sobia Moghis, M.B.B.S.,
received her medical degree from Army Medical College, Pakistan. Dr. Moghis chose the IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency because the
award-winning program, competent faculty, friendly residents, helpful staff, and
Indianapolis is a great place to live. Her area of clinical
interest is in is OBGYN. Upon graduation,
Dr. Moghis would like to complete a fellowship in obstetrics. In her free time, Dr.
Moghis enjoys watching TV, going to movies, working out, and shopping. |

Nydia Nuñez, M.D., received her medical degree from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Nicaragua-León. Dr. Nuñez chose the IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency because of its multicultural environment which gives the opportunity learn from different cultures at the time you are practicing and learning medicine at a very familiar environment. She also likes the excellent curriculum and the option of extracurricular training. Dr. Nuñez's is a member of the professional organization, Colegio Medico de Honduras. Her clinical interests are in reproductive health and chronic disease and her research interests are the risk factors and consequences of adolescent pregnancies and life quality of chronically ill patients. Upon graduation, Dr. Nuñez would like to work in an underserved area with a special emphasis in the adolescent population. In her free time, Dr. Nuñez enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and dancing. |

Michael Obichi, M.D., received his medical degree from Ross University,
Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Obichi also has an RN from San Diego State
University. He chose the IU Methodist Family
Medicine
Residency because it is a university program and would provide ample
opportunities for research and easy access to a fellowship position.
Additionally, he loves the diversity and the opportunity to work with
people from different countries. Dr. Obichi's clinical interests are in
sports medicine and diabetes and his research interest is in the
management of metabolic syndrome. After graduation, Dr. Obichi would
like to complete a fellowship in sports medicine and a masters degree in
business administration. In his free time, he
enjoys weight lifting, traveling, and watching TV. |

Diana Summanwar, M.C., received her medical degree from Universidad

are in preventive medicine and patient education. Her long term goal is

Marta Wesolowski, M.D., received her medical degree from Jagiellonian
University, Krakow, Poland. She chose the IU Methodist
Family Medicine Residency because she wanted to be part of a university
program where she could learn the full scope of family medicine and see
a wide variety of patients. Equally important to her was the atmosphere
at the program and she saw that the residents were happy and all spoke
about the warm and supportive environment. Dr. Wesolowski's research
interests are in public and preventive health. Upon graduation,
she hopes to practice the full-scope of family medicine. In her
free time, Dr. Wesolowski travel, reading, movies, and spending time
with her friends. |

Ginny Carlson, M.D., received her medical degree from Ross University
Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Carlson chose the IU Methodist Family Medicine
Residency because she was interested in the diversity of residents,
patient population, and opportunities offered at this residency program.
Dr. Carlson also
believes that being in the largest hospital in Indiana is very exciting
because of the wide variety of patients with many different medical
problems. Dr. Carlson's clinical interest is in Underserved populations
and she has research interest in electronic medical records. In her free time, Dr.
Carlson enjoys running, cooking, and reading non-medical books. In
addition, she loves traveling and has lived in a few different countries
for short periods of time. |

Ian Levy Co San Chua, M.D., received his medical degree from University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. Dr. Chua chose the IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency because of its strong inpatient and outpatient programs. It has a well balanced curriculum that would make me well-equipped to practice in an underserved area where I am the only doctor there. Whether it be seeing adults, pediatrics, or even delivering a baby. I just want to be confident my skills as a doctor after I finish residency, and believe IU does a great job in doing that. Dr. Chua’s clinical and research interests are in sports medicine and he also has a degree as a physical therapist. He is a member of the Indiana State Medical Association, University of Santo Tomas Medical Alumni Association, Philippine Medical Association, Philippine Physical Therapy Association, and Titans Medical Foundation Incorporated. Upon graduation, Dr. Chua would like to return to his family in California as a primary care sports medicine physician. In his free time, Dr. Chua enjoys photography, surfing Facebook, and talking to and spending time with friends and family. |

Lyle Cortez, D.O., received his doctor of osteopathic medicine from Midwestern University located in Downers Grove, Illinois. Dr. Cortez believes that the IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency is the perfect fit for him. He likes the great teaching faculty and their great attitude towards teaching. He also liked the program's affiliation with Indiana University School of Medicine, as it has the resources to provide a wide range of learning experiences of different specialties. Dr. Cortez's clinical research interests are in Preventive Medicine. Upon graduation, Dr. Cortez would like to practice in the Indianapolis area be being a hospitalist for a few years and hopefully be part of a private practice at some point. In his free time, Dr. Cortez enjoys working out, racing cars, martial arts, and spending time with friends and family. |

Ma Rosario DeJesus, M.D., received her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. Dr. DeJesus chose the IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency because of the wide opportunities it provides as a university based hospital. The IU Family Medicine Center, with its high standard of excellence and outstanding faculty, made it her first choice. She also liked the diversity of the program, with residents coming from all parts of he world, and the warm and supportive environment. She is a member of the University of Santo Tomas Alumni Association and the University of the Philippines Alumni Association. Dr. DeJesus' clinical interests are in preventive care and management of chronic diseases and her research interests are in preventive medicine as well as community medicine dealing with the improvement of health care in underserved areas. Upon graduation, she would like to pursue a fellowship in geriatric medicine. In her free time, Dr. DeJesus enjoys cooking, surfing the net and spending time with family and friends. She also likes to travel and visit her extended family located throughout the US. |

Dr. Garcia's clinical and research interests are in sports medicine and upon graduation, would like to complete a fellowship in sports medicine. In his free time, Dr. Garcia enjoys outdoor sports like jogging, biking and any kind of outdoors activities. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends. |

Derrick Hasenour, M.D.,
received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr.
Hasenour chose the IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency because as a medical
student he had a wonderful learning experience at the IU Methodist Family
Medicine Residency and felt the residents and staff provided a wealth of
knowledge and culture that he could not get else where in Indiana. He is also a
proud graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine and proud to continue
his education with this great institution. Dr. Hasenour is a member of the
American Medical Association. Upon graduation, he would like to return to his
home town in Southern Indiana to practice and provide much needed care for his
community. In his free time, Dr. Hasenour enjoys spending time traveling with my
wife and two daughters, mechanics and construction, and socializing with his

Upon graduation, he is interested in completing fellowship in either geriatrics or sports medicine. His long term plan is to work as a faculty at Indiana University. Tatyana Selyanina, M.D., received her medical degree from Karaganda
State Medical Academy, Karaganda, Kazakhstan. Dr. Selyanina chose the IU Methodist Family

disciplines during rotations. Additionally, she likes I also enjoy
Indianapolis and friendly people. Dr. Selyanina's clinical interests
are in obstetrics and family medicine in general. Her long term goal is
to have her own private practice. In her free time, Dr. Selyanina is
passionate about high-end fashion design (she has a degree from
International Academy of Design and Technology, Toronto, Canada), enjoys
knitting and physical activities. More than anything, she loves spending
time with her husband and their children. |

Sofy Sendoya, M.D., received her medical degree from Universidad del

in Indianapolis, a welcoming and enjoyable city. She is also impressed

Sendoya's clinical
interests are in gynecology and obstetrics. She is a member of the
American Academy of Family Physicians. Upon graduation,
she plans to focus on Latino community health and their primary care
