Curriculum: First Year Rotations
Intro to Family Medicine - 1 Block
    · 9-11 hours days, some weekend am rounds
    · Call every 3-6 days
    · Work with staff and upper level residents in both hospital and office

Family Medicine Inpatient - 3 Blocks
    · Inpatient
        - 9-11 hours per day, 1 day off per week, weekend am rounds
        - Call every 5-6 days
        - Care for 7-8 patients with a second year resident always available
    · Night Float
        - 9-11 hours per day. 1 day off per week, weekend AM rounds
        - 2 weeks/month, Sun-Thu, otherwise call approx. 1 Q 14 days
        - Care for 7-8 patients with a second year resident always available

Obstetrics - 2 Blocks
    · 10 hours per day
    · 6-8 calls per month, post call days off
    · Work at OB Clinic, on call manage deliveries working with OB residents
        and midwives

Neonatal - 1 Block
    · 8-10 hours per day
    · 1-2 days per month of call
    · Manage routine newborn care and assist with resuscitation of acutely-ill infants
        with upper class and staff back-up

Peds Inpatient - 1 Block
    · 8-10 hours per day
    · 5-6 call per month
    · Manage 4-6 patients with upper level resident back-up

Emergency Medicine - 1 Block

General Surgery Inpatient - 1 Block
    · 8-12 hours per day, 1 day off per week, weekend am rounds
    · Call on Friday nights
    · Work with staff and upper level resident

Addiction Medicine - 1 Block

Critical Care - 1 Block

Renal - 1 Block
